Detailed Itinerary
All participants will be picked up at their hotel / hostel between 7:00 and 7:15. We will start the day driving north, through a very natural scenic route, full of mountains and forest. After an hour driving, we reach the Estancia “Complejo Torres del Paine” at the foot of the mountain Tenerife. This is where we prepare ourselves for the 8 to 9 hour hike ahead of us. We start our journey walking up the mountain following animals’ trails. The real adventure begins when turning into the low deciduous forest. After having hiked up steadily, with some well-deserved breaks, we will get to a stunning viewpoint at the edge of the forest line. Here we can start to feel how much of the Patagonian winds we are going to experience this day. Climbing up making a direct line towards the summit, with the forest staying behind, the views are only going to get better. Reaching the summit after hiking up the high mountain dessert, we will be able to enjoy a 360° view around us with the National park Torres del Paine in the north, the Sierra Baguales mountain range in the west, Puerto Natales in the South and the Chacabuco mountain range in the east. There is no better way to get to know Patagonia as seeing it from the top of a mountain. After our summit experience, we will head back to our transportation at the foot of the mountain, and drive back to Puerto Natales where we will arrive around 19:00.
